Edinburgh New Town Flat

Conversion of a grade B listed flat in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. We were appointed to carry out architectural services on this project.

This involved subdividing and refurbishing an existing hard to sell four-bedroom, two-public room top floor flat into two desirable two-bedroom flats.

Due to the project's location and nature we anticipated obtaining planning and listed building consent for the works would be a challenge. However through considered design and reasoned justification we were able to obtain both consents on behalf of our private developer client.

We prepared the technical design for the works, obtained the building warrant and provided technical input through the projects construction and completion. The result has been to convert a run down property that had a limited marketability to two highly desirable properties.
